November 3, 2009 - Can You Handle the Truth?

Throughout the past several years, I've concluded that the only true Gods are the enlightened people – our fellow humans – who are born amongst us and contribute something that affects many people, for better or worse. I do not believe in the existence of a single omnipotent deity that controls the universe. That notion is immature, simplistic, and hinders the ability of humans to achieve their full potential.

I just finished reading The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown, and interestingly, the book has the same conclusion. Through the characters in the book, Brown expresses the belief that when man separated himself from God, he limited his potential. According to him, there has been a lot of wisdom that has been placed into religious texts, such as the Bible and Koran, but its true meaning is being overlooked because people have misinterpreted those books. People look skyward for “God,” rather than realizing that they can be a God.

Another thing that I have realized is that there are reasons that secret societies exist, and why powerful and wealthy people sometimes appear to be greedy and selfish. That is because they know that not everyone is prepared to accept the truth. I have often found it frustrating to try and express, to others, the knowledge and wisdom that I have acquired. When I’ve done that, I’ve encountered strong opposition because the things I say go against what the ignorant people to whom I was speaking had been taught.

When people are opposed to accepting the wisdom that the Gods give them, those Gods will be disinclined to continue trying to teach them. They will only open themselves to the people who actively seek the truth. In the meantime, they will be secretive and discreet. And the reason for that is because most people are not prepared to take possession of the keys to success. That knowledge can only be imparted to the enlightened few who are prepared to accept their rightful position as a God.
