November 3, 2009 - Can You Handle the Truth?
Throughout the past several years, I've concluded that the only true Gods are the enlightened people – our fellow humans – who are born amongst us and contribute something that affects many people, for better or worse. I do not believe in the existence of a single omnipotent deity that controls the universe. That notion is immature, simplistic, and hinders the ability of humans to achieve their full potential.
I just finished reading The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown, and interestingly, the book has the same conclusion. Through the characters in the book, Brown expresses the belief that when man separated himself from God, he limited his potential. According to him, there has been a lot of wisdom that has been placed into religious texts, such as the Bible and Koran, but its true meaning is being overlooked because people have misinterpreted those books. People look skyward for “God,” rather than realizing that they can be a God.
Another thing that I have realized is that there are reasons that secret societies exist, and why powerful and wealthy people sometimes appear to be greedy and selfish. That is because they know that not everyone is prepared to accept the truth. I have often found it frustrating to try and express, to others, the knowledge and wisdom that I have acquired. When I’ve done that, I’ve encountered strong opposition because the things I say go against what the ignorant people to whom I was speaking had been taught.
When people are opposed to accepting the wisdom that the Gods give them, those Gods will be disinclined to continue trying to teach them. They will only open themselves to the people who actively seek the truth. In the meantime, they will be secretive and discreet. And the reason for that is because most people are not prepared to take possession of the keys to success. That knowledge can only be imparted to the enlightened few who are prepared to accept their rightful position as a God.

October 12, 2009 - Religion is for the Weak
I’ve been reading The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins, and it’s refreshing to see a fellow Atheist use science to refute the validity of religion. Many of us Black Americans were forced to endure countless hours of being indoctrinated into Christianity when we were little. That was done in similar fashion to the ways in which our ancestors were forcefully taught that religion by slave owners and overseers who needed obedient slaves. Their justification for forcing slaves to become Christians was so that they would be so focused upon being rewarded by “God” in the afterlife, that they would forget about the miserable plight that constituted their daily lives. And rather than accept that fact and question the irrational beliefs that are inherent in Christianity, many Blacks continue to be obedient slaves to that religion. They refuse to question it, as intelligent people should, because they fear their “God” will punish them with eternal damnation.
The God Delusion and books like it should be read by anyone who believes that they are an intelligent human being. Books and people that dare to question Christianity and religion should be given consideration, rather than dismissed. When someone has the audacity to question religion, they are exhibiting the reasoning that causes society to progress and prosper. The alternative is society remaining in a state of stagnation because people refuse to reject outdated beliefs that are based upon myths and superstition. Science provides more answers to how we came into being, and where we are headed, than religion ever will.
Weak people follow religion because they are too scared to question their beliefs. Intelligent people exhibit strength by questioning religion. They are advanced in their thinking, and adherents of religion should work towards attaining that strength.

July 13, 2009 - Al Gore Was Correct
In “The Assault on Reason,” Al Gore talked about how Americans were reading less. He said that instead of people becoming informed of noteworthy events by reading the news, they watched the news on TV. And instead of being entertained by reading written works of interest, they watch TV and play video games. As a result, Americans are less intelligent than they were in the past, and their thought patterns are less sophisticated. In essence, Americans are becoming stupid.
When I completed “The Corrupting of the Redeemer,” I sent copies to a sizable group of people to gauge their opinions. They didn’t have to pay for the book; all I wanted from them was to hear their honest opinions. That was nearly 1 year ago. Since then, only a small portion of the people who were given complimentary copies have read the book, and none of them had anything negative to say about it. (I know that their feedback was honest because they were truly impressed by its complexity, and how deep it is.)
I consider it unfortunate that people have bypassed the opportunity to read a book that will be considered one of the most controversial, thought-provoking, and enlightening literary works of our era. But I guess that I should expect that in a society in which people are impressed by entertainment that caters to their laziness, rather than to their intellectual curiosity. Writers are often the people whose thoughts create significant events in world history, or change the trajectory of societies through revolution. And until the majority of people learn to love reading, writers will remain an underappreciated class of the world community.

May 12, 2009 - The Destruction of Black Literature
I went to Wal-Mart the other day, walked to the area for books, and 99% of the books in the "African-American" section were love stories. That's disappointing because we have serious issues that need to be discussed. The fact that fictional novels about love and sex constituted the majority of the books about us, shows that Whites have invaded our literary world. They took a controlling interest in rap, and polluted it with garbage that promotes negativity because they consider that profitable. And now it appears they're repeating that formula with our books.
Rather than understanding the depth, intricacies, and expansive nature of the Black experience, White people involved in the literary world have tunnel vision. They seek to promote certain aspects of our culture that they deem profitable, regardless of the consequences of their behavior. If their actions result in them promoting negativity, they don’t care as long as they make money. That’s unfortunate because their actions result in them being complicit in the promotion of racism, thereby perpetuating America’s longest-lasting act of genocide.

May 9, 2009 - A Recent Review
An intellectual recently read The Corrupting of the Redeemer, and commented on how deep and enlightening it is. They reflected upon how the story shows the means by which people manipulate others in order to maintain power; how Christianity has been used by Whites to keep Blacks mentally enslaved, and used by Black ministers to subsidize their lives of decadence; and the history of the Black experience, and its pertinence to the progression of Black people. Due to the depth with which the book discusses issues that are important to the Black race, this person said that The Corrupting of the Redeemer is more than a religious book – it is an awakening!
That reviewer was able to grasp the importance of the book and the issues that are present in it. I hope that many other Black people will be as enlightened as she was after reading The Corrupting of the Redeemer.

April 19, 2008 - Publishing the Book
People have asked me how the book will be published, and I tell them that I’m going to publish it myself. The reason for that is because I don’t want to waste time getting rejected by publishers. Many writers – both good and bad – who seek to have their first book published when they have no literary connections, have experienced numerous rejections. I’d rather that energy be directed towards publishing the book myself.
Although self-publishing a book involves much more work than is needed when someone else publishes it, I am willing to deal with the additional labor. That is because I am confident in the product that I am creating, and I want full control over my it. Since I wrote the book to convey a message, I don’t want it to be distorted by anyone who doesn’t understand what I’m trying to do.
The book’s message is aimed directly at Black people. Because of that, few if any White people would understand the nuances of the book. If they were allowed to publish it, they might seek to change it for commercial purposes, which would destroy the reason for its creation. Many Black people have encountered White people in the entertainment industry who changed their artistic creation in order to make more money, because the White person thought they new more about Black people than the Black artist. I won’t allow that to happen to me!
Throughout the process of writing the book, I’ve been studying literary publishing. And because of the knowledge that I have acquired, I believe that I can successfully accomplish the task of self-publishing my book. I also plan on making posts about the publishing process, so that other authors can see how it’s done.
